Artwork Description:

Title: Beinn

A square miniature abstract landscape painting inspired by the stunning scenery of County Wicklow in Ireland, where we lived for several years. “Beinn” is a Gaelic word for mountain.

Hand painted in a natural palette of deep blues, greys and browns using watercolour paint onto heavy, rough paper.

Looks perfect as a pair or set, along side Gleann and Winter

The original painting was sold in June 2024 from Studio 3 Art.

Artist Bio:
Kathryn Cooper is a British artist from Essex, with a passion to create all kinds of original art in ink and watercolour. Including abstract art, surface pattern design, landscapes and urban sketches.

In 2022 she set up a small business called KC Sketches, specialising in house and building portraiture. She enjoys creating  charming commissioned pieces for customers of their homes, wedding venues, business/commercial buildings and a variety of other places with sentimental meaning.

Kathryn spent several years living close to the breath-taking scenery of County Wicklow in Ireland. Those awesome views have been a strong inspiration in creating her miniature watercolour abstract landscapes. These are expressive and intuitive paintings, mostly in a palette of blues and browns. Many of them feature dramatic and stormy skies.
