Title: Rust black and white

A striking floral display conveying energy and movement through the flower and background combinations.  This print is from a series of limited palette paintings where colour has been minimised in order to focus on shape and texture.   It is mainly monochromatic black and white with rusty red outlines to add interest and vibrancy to the foliage and blooms, including peony, rose, lily, eucalyptus and ferns.

Artist Bio:

Alexandra Toyne is the artist behind Ali Toyne Art.  She is a St Albans based self-taught artist with a BaHons degree in Fine Art Valuation from Southampton.  Ali is hugely inspired by nature, with animals and flowers the subject of her recent commissions.  She works mainly in acrylic and oil paint, particularly enjoying larger scale works, which she fills with an energetic combination of colour, shape and texture.  Passionate about art, family life, yoga, travel and nature, she aims to bring joy into her customers’ lives through her work.
