Title: Wildflower Enchantment – Fine art print

Wildflower Enchantment is a beautiful floral oil painting, created using a delicate palette in a fun abstract style. This modern abstract painting was a pleasure from beginning to end. The background was created using a palette knife where I worked the sky and landscape simultaneously, lengthways initially, before dragging the paint vertically to reveal gorgeous glimpses of texture and depth. While the paint was still wet and thick I dragged the palette knife on its side up the canvas to form subtle botanical forms to frame the composition. Once dry, I scattered a selection of oil paint droplets to form a field of abstract flowers, added my signature wildflower outlines and more droplets on top until the perfect balance of colour and texture achieved. Its beauty and charm really captivates you with so many playful delicate layers of oil paint

Hi, I'm Jess aka the Navy Sloth. I'm a part time artist and full time mum of two beautiful little girls. I paint as often as my limited spare time allows and love every second of it. I'm based in Cardiff, and paint in my little studio within our home. It's my little corner where I can switch off for a few hours and just be my creative self (it's meant to be a toy free zone but somehow they have crept in slowly - you know how it is!)

I create semi abstract wildflower paintings on canvas, combining my illustrative skills with a bold abstract style. My work is vibrant, fun and full of texture, perfect to add a splash of colour to any wall!
