Title: Summer Sunrise on Lindisfarne

I walked along the coast very early one June morning, to see a beautiful sunrise behind Lindisfarne Castle. It was calm and peaceful as the tangerine light flowed over the landscape. This colour of light is only seen at certain times, and here it floods the bay, with the old castle and harbour boats in shadow. The tide is in, so the island is cut off from the mainland, and there are no sounds except the quiet shush of the water, and the birds beginning to stir.

I am a self-taught artist and always happiest with a pencil, camera or paintbrush in my hand!

I love to look for slightly quirky or unusual image or views.

I work and create either in my studio or outside, with graphite pencils, mixed media collage and my camera.
