Title: Lindisfarne Sunrise painting

Watercolour and acrylic painting on canvas of the sun rising behind Lindisfarne castle one morning in June.

The tide is in and boats are quietly bobbing in the bay. The castle on its’ rocky outcrop is a very distinct shape and dominates the skyline.

In contrast there is a gentle quiet as the water laps the shore and a new day begins. This is painted from photograph I took while walking along the bay one early June morning.

I am a self-taught artist and always happiest with a pencil, camera or paintbrush in my hand!

I like to explore quirky or unusual images or views.

I love colour, I enjoy being with people and I love to be outside in gorgeous scenery. All of these elements can be seen in my work.
