Artists Bio:
Hi, i’m Anna and I’m a self-taught artist living in Leicestershire. As a child growing up, I had the privilege to be surrounded by creativity thanks to my Dad being a professional signwriter.
Alongside my love of painting I have worked in the care industry supporting adults with learning differences, mental health conditions and latterly I provided care for people to live independently at home. I currently facilitate art workshops at ‘PEPPER’S A SAFE PLACE’, a well-being centre in Melton Mowbray. My aim is to help provide local people to have more access to art, that can bring joy and satisfaction to their lives.
Over many years I have painted a number of murals on children’s bedroom walls, schools and cafes.
My art reflects my love of nature and my passion to help improve people’s mental health. I love being creative, whether it’s painting, sketching, mark making or collage. I love that feeling when I am completely absorbed in the flow. I work mostly in acrylics, watercolour, inks and every so often I include a touch of collage to my paintings to add interest and texture. My art is colourful and spirited yet sometimes calm and tender. Ideal for home and nursery decor.
