Carol Giaquinto
Artists Bio:
Born in Paris, France, Carol now lives in beautiful Derbyshire. Self-taught mixed media artist, some of her work is a reminiscence of a life and travels in bustling capital cities, other works draw from her love of gardening, nature, architecture and geometry. She enjoys painting mostly in acrylics and inks, using ‘found objects’ such as a credit card, squeegee, scraper and other paraphernalia. Her semi-abstract work reflects the influence of her studies in horticulture and textile design. She recently joined the Derby Sketching Club to improve her skills and very much enjoys life drawing. Always on the lookout for new inspiration and to improve her technique, she often participates in painting and drawing workshops.
