Artists Bio:
Jenna Michelle Pink is an abstract artist currently residing in Belper, Derbyshire.
As a child, I developed a love of storytelling, painting, and mark-making, which has led to a lifelong passion for abstract art. Human emotion drives my expressive paintings, which I bring to life in various mediums, including acrylics, oil pastels, and digital software such as Procreate and Photoshop.
I use my creative process like a diary, scribbling down my inner thoughts, positive or negative, onto the canvas before painting over these words with texture and line. Themes of body image, grief, mental health, self-doubt, and motherhood frequent my work. Painting to me is a means of self-discovery – it is exploring who I am as an autistic disabled individual after decades of running away from my true self.
