Artists Bio:

I have been working professionally as an illustrator and designer for the last 20 years, since graduating with a BA(hons) in Scientific and Natural History Illustration.

My work is mainly inspired by nature and the British Countryside. I love to sketch birds, plants and wildflowers. I am fortunate to live in an area of Lancashire which is both rural and coastal, and I enjoy exploring the diverse range of plants and animals that are found here.

I am a member of Luneside Artists’ Studios in Lancaster, and enjoy taking part in exhibitions alongside other studio members. As a studio member I am also able to explore printmaking, and I look forward to adding this to my range of skills.

I work in a diverse range of mediums, mainly using coloured pencil, but also working in watercolour and gouache, as well as creating relief prints from wood engravings. My coloured pencil work has been shortlisted for the British Art Prize 2023.
