Artists Bio:
Hi! I’m a multidisciplinary artist, creative facilitator and curious little creature from Colchester, UK. Subject matter is not a primary concern for me – I’m too curious to stick to one subject matter; instead I try to capture a fleeting moment, often of solitude. I try to communicate a sense of atmosphere, via the study of light, colour, musicality, symbolism and softness. My works are mostly representational and richly pigmented, and my influences include Essex’s rural and urban landscapes, the woodlands behind my house where I spend much of my time, the French impressionists, Wyeth, Hopper, Klimt and Redon. I work mainly in oils, pastels and fineline marker, and I’ve also been known to dabble in poetry and photography – check out Broken Notes: 52 Poems on Amazon.
