Tru Udell
Mixed Media Artist. Carsington, Derbyshire.
Artist Statement
Inspired by the breathtaking beauty of Carsington and its serene reservoir, I create evocative mixed media artworks that capture the essence of the natural environment. My work is a celebration of texture, atmosphere, and emotion, blending unconventional materials and techniques to tell stories that resonate with the soul. Primarily self-taught, I embrace the freedom to explore and innovate, unbound by formal artistic theory. My art is a reflection of my connection to the world around me, inviting viewers to experience both the tranquillity and the movement through my eyes.
Artistic Approach
– Mediums: Combination of mediums including acrylics, oils, structural gels, sand and other materials.
– Style: Expressive and atmospheric, with a focus on texture and layered compositions. Movement, instinct and emotion flows into my abstract art, focusing on the drama and intrigue a piece can portray.
