Hello and thank you for checking out my art!
I’m a mixed media artist specialising in joyful floral art that is full of colour and vibrancy.
I start most pieces with collage. This can consist of paper, fabric, books….anything that catches my eye really. I glue this down, often covering the entire canvas and then I paint designs on top. I work entirely on intuition so I never know what it’s going to end up looking like. It’s a fascinating process and one which I think gives my art a totally unique look. My paintings have a real sense of me in them because I’m guided by my intuition and imagination….they literally explode with colour and personality.
I’m a painting addict and paint almost every day. I have a sketchbook which is always in use and it’s chock full of ideas and experiments which I draw on when I hit the dreaded artist block!
As well as selling my art online and in galleries, I run my own painting workshops in my local area. I teach people basic acrylic painting techniques, demonstrate my own unique way of painting and teach glass painting. You can find my hand painted glass designs in my Etsy shop alongside my original paintings.
