Cheeky Zebra

Artists Bio:

I am a 3rd generation artist in my family,  my great-grandmother and my Nan both painted with oils and pastels well into their late 80’s.    My passion started when I was young and I did Art at school but then life took over and I didn’t really get back to it until very recently, just about the time of COVID !  Sadly my Nan passed away 2 years ago and never really got to see my work,  she would have been so proud of the fact I am carrying on with the family Art tradition.

My passion lies with drawing animals and I try to make my drawings as realistic and life like as possible, focusing always on capturing the soul of my subject on the paper to really bring that work of Art to life.    The eyes and noses therefore are to me the most important aspect of most of my drawings but I do dabble with a few more quirky ideas,  for instance my Zebra’s rear end view, just something a little different, so keep following me to see any new ones coming along.

I think of myself as a creative person and have over the years always had something on the go,  sewing, knitting, or drawing, for a while I just loved drawing Mandalas and patterns.   But I have many other hobbies as well including more active stuff like mountain biking, paddle boarding, metal detecting and going for long walks with my 2 doggies, so I am a real outdoors kind of girl too.

I have previously been a Yoga and Pilates instructor also and travelled extensively on holidays all over the world.

I strive to do the best job I can with my drawings and no expense is spared when it comes to quality,  I use the best grade soft pastel sticks and pastel pencils and paper to ensure my artwork lasts a lifetime, the better the original then I can offer outstanding quality with my prints of those originals.

I hope you enjoy looking through my Artwork,  I plan to increase the range as quickly as I can, but working full time I have to fit in my art time around everything else.   I hope that you find a piece that resonates with you and you instantly think Wow that is for me,  and I thank you for taking the time to browse through my collection.

I also am available for specific requirements you might have or to commission a pet portrait.   My originals may still be available to purchase so please contact me if you are interested in any of them.

Much Love
