Artwork Description:

Title: Autumn vine

The colours of autumn or an Indian summer, a season of colourful leaves. The painting is inspired by some pretty reference images of an autumn garden received from an art friend in Oregon, US, last year. I used a watercolour salt technique to create the effect of a changing season, reflecting sunshine amongst leaves or perhaps even a first snowfall.

The picture is from my collection of paintings titled ‘An Autumn in Oregon’.

Artist Bio:

I mostly create nature - inspired mixed media art with watercolours, touches of white gel or black ink pen for added contrast and interest. I use artist grade watercolour paints or pencils, gels, inks, graphite pencils, acrylics and painted on 100% cotton watercolour paper.
I enjoy photography as well as exploring nature in my free time. My original paintings are often based on my photographs of Suffolk nature and other places I have visited.
