Title: Barn Owl

This watercolour painting is a close up study of the beautiful barn owl. As with all of my paintings, i used the smallest of brushes to get all of the fine detail, from the reflections in his eye, the flecks of colour on his wings to the whispy white feathers around his face and beak. This ghostly and elusive bird of prey was such a joy to paint and is one of the first watercolour paintings i ever did so this one is very dear to me! It looks beautiful framed and hung in a well lit position.

I am a watercolour and ceramic artist based in the West Midlands. I have painted professionally for over 25 years and my biggest inspiration is nature itself. Although i also like to let my imagination run free and paint fantasy and fairytales! Whether it be birds or flowers, unicorns or waterfalls, i am sure will find something that you will fall in love with!
