Title: Gold artichoke black and white

A striking floral display with an atmospheric abstract background.  This print is from a series of limited palette paintings where colour has been minimised in order to focus on shape and texture.   It is mainly monochromatic black and white with the addition of gold to increase interest and vibrancy of the piece.  It features an artichoke flower with other blooms including ranunculus, hyacinth and tulips.

Artist Bio:

Alexandra Toyne is the artist behind Ali Toyne Art.  She is a St Albans based self-taught artist with a BaHons degree in Fine Art Valuation from Southampton.  Ali is hugely inspired by nature, with animals and flowers the subject of her recent commissions.  She works mainly in acrylic and oil paint, particularly enjoying larger scale works, which she fills with an energetic combination of colour, shape and texture.  Passionate about art, family life, yoga, travel and nature, she aims to bring joy into her customers’ lives through her work.
