Title: Dahlias

This dahlia watercolour painting was inspired following visits to the National Dahlia Collection in Cornwall. Some of the flowers were drawn and studied directly from this collection. These drawings were then placed into a composition to demonstrate their individual characteristics and beautiful variety of colours.

Artist Bio:

Diana is a botanical artist based on the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall, a beautiful location that provides her with inspiration in abundance. As the seasons change, she studies and depicts the newly emerging plants and flowers that appear along the clifftops and in her garden.

Diana works mainly in watercolours and ink as she finds this subtly emulates organic structures and form.
