Title: Dancers 1

Watercolour painting featuring a couple dancing in the street.

I love to draw and paint people, and had the idea of using the colours and luminosity of watercolour to create a sense of dance, movement and the mood of a street at night.

I really like the colours of the swirling skirt, and the  glance between the two dancers, their connection with each other.

This is the first of three dancer watercolour paintings I’ve been working on.

I am a self-taught artist and always happiest with a pencil, camera or paintbrush in my hand!

I like to explore quirky or unusual images or views.

I love colour, I enjoy being with people and I love to be outside in gorgeous scenery. All of these elements can be seen in my work.
