Title: Hidden Moon

Oil Painting Original Size – 61x46cm

My intent is to evoke a quiet, atmospheric mood, using soft, diffused brushwork, added texture through alternative mediums and a subdued colour palette.  I have called this Hidden Moon as there is the hint of a moon hiding from sight within this rural scene dominated by mist  In the midground, a small white abstract cottage with a red roof sits nestled near a dark treeline. This whole series is one of atmosphere, mood and quiet contemplation.

Artist Bio:

I live in the beautiful village of Carsington in Derbyshire.

My work focuses on creating atmospheric and textured landscapes, but I also create large abstract art pieces.

I am inspired by my surroundings and the fauna and flora of my local reservoir.

My abstract pieces are created with instinct and emotion, always focusing on the drama and intrigue a piece can portray.  Each piece is lovingly crafted, taking care to ensure the mood of a piece is captured through the use of harmonious and contrasting colours.
