Title: Kingfisher

This print is taken from my original watercolour painting ‘Kingfisher’. The jewel-coloured feathers of this elusive bird glisten in the sunlight as he perches on a mossy branch over the river. I kept the background colours more muted so the kingfisher would stand out more against the background. I have been lucky enough to see a few of these birds over the years and I am always amazed at their beauty!

I am a watercolour and ceramic artist based in the West Midlands. I have painted professionally for over 25 years and my biggest inspiration is nature itself. Although I also like to let my imagination run free and paint fantasy and fairytales! Whether it be birds or flowers, unicorns or waterfalls, I am sure will find something that you will fall in love with!
