Title: Look for the Gold

I created Look for the Gold after being inspired by the words of a close friend enduring a difficult time. I wanted to produce a piece which captured the emotional journey of resilience and hope. The sea, for me, is my go to place when I’m in need of nature’s cure. The golden orange on the horizon represent the promise of brighter days and the turquoise hues evoke the calmness we may seek when facing life’s challenges. I hope this piece serves as a visual reminder to hold on to hope, stay grateful and keep moving forward.

Artist Bio:
The unspoiled beauty of the Cornish coast—where the land meets the vast expanse of the Atlantic—has been a constant source of inspiration for me. I am drawn to the sea and feel its magnetic pull deeply. As a committed thalassophile, (someone who loves the ocean and finds calm and peace being close to the sea - this definitely sums me up!) I am often found on the beaches, cliff tops, coastal paths and shoreline of Cornwall, soaking up the ever changing skies, dramatic cliffs and rolling waves. My artwork seeks to communicate my emotional response to the colours, patterns and textures of the coast and to evoke a sense, for the viewer, of being immersed in this natural environment.
