Title: Nocturnal

Chalk pastel and charcoal on black paper. Atmospheric monochrome study of a female nude. Drawn from a photograph, this was actually made on the banks of a French lake, not the studio! The picture would suit a black mount and fit in with any colour scheme.

Artist Bio:

Hello, I'm Ruth. My main inspiration is the human figure - from life, photos or the imagination. Loving the countryside of Derbyshire and Northern France, too. I quit art school many years ago but never stopped drawing and painting. I'm currently Vice Chairman of Derby Sketching Club where we love getting together to draw from life.
