Title: River

‘River’ is an abstract representation of a river. This painting explores the relationship between water and vegetation as well as the contradiction between movements and a peaceful meditative state that looking at a river can elicit. The background is serene, yet the brush strokes jump from wide and calming to short and sharp. The reflection of light also comes through with sparse use of the yellow colour.

Artist Bio:

Morgane is a contemporary painter - mostly abstract, sometime illustrative - based in the UK (Carshalton, South London), where she has lived most of her adult life. She mostly takes her inspiration from her upbringing in France, where she was born, Morocco where she spent her teenage years, and her travels around the world.  She uses her intuition and emotions to let the picture take form, allowing the medium to transform and interact with her.
