Title: Shaw Quarry 1

One of the most peaceful havens you can find. I’ve painted this a few times and am always amazed at the serenity it exudes. Just the sound of birds and breeze blowing through the trees. When the sun shines you can imagine all the colours of the rainbow reflecting off the rocky face. All ones worries fade away.

Artist Bio:

I studied art at A level but then a career in Engineering and bringing up a family interrupted my painting. But I never lost my passion for art and for the last 40 years I've been painting again. I've shown my art in countless exhibitions and galleries including Sheffield, Hull, Buxton and many others. I live in Wirksworth where I moved to, to continue my taking part in the Festival there and have had my painting included in the Wirksworth Brochure Front Page.
