Artwork Description:

Title: Shepherd’s Delight

Oil Painting Original Size – 61x46cm

As the saying goes – Pink sky in the morning, Shepherd’s warning, Pink sky at night, Shepherd’s Delight.   A pink sky at night is often associated with a red sky at night, and both indicate good weather ahead.  I have tried to express the warm and subtle colours that we might see from time to time.  And, as with much of my work, I’ve create a dreamy and tranquil atmosphere.

I have added sand to give texture to the oil paints I use.  I do hope you like it.

Artist Bio:
I live in the beautiful village of Carsington in Derbyshire.

My work focuses on creating atmospheric and textured landscapes, but I also create large abstract art pieces.

I am inspired by my surroundings and the fauna and flora of my local reservoir.

My abstract pieces are created with instinct and emotion, always focusing on the drama and intrigue a piece can portray.  Each piece is lovingly crafted, taking care to ensure the mood of a piece is captured through the use of harmonious and contrasting colours.
