Title: Snow Leopard

This is a close-up study of the magnificent and elusive snow leopard. I am a big lover of cats, (big and small!) and I really enjoyed trying to capture the character of this lovely big cat. This painting took many hours to complete using the smallest of brushes to get the detail in his soft fur and beautiful blue eyes. As with all of my paintings, the many layers of paint that I lay down give this a lovely depth while still seeming a little transparent.  I have this painting hanging on my own wall at home and it is almost mesmerising, especially when the late afternoon sun falls across it!

Artist Bio:

I am a watercolour and ceramic artist based in the West Midlands. I have painted professionally for over 25 years and my biggest inspiration is nature itself. Although I also like to let my imagination run free and paint fantasy and fairytales! Whether it be birds or flowers, unicorns or waterfalls, I am sure will find something that you will fall in love with!
