Title: Thai Water Lilies

These water lilies were in a pond in Thailand. Painted in acrylic from a photograph, I was inspired by the unusual colours of the leaves and the way they spidered out from the tall, pink bloom.

Artist Bio:

Hello, I'm Ruth. My main inspiration is the human figure - from life, photos or the imagination. Loving the countryside of Derbyshire and Northern France, too. I quit art school many years ago but never stopped drawing and painting. I'm currently Vice Chairman of Derby Sketching Club where we love getting together to draw from life.
