The Old Man of Calke is a 1000-year-old oak tree that can be found at Calke Abbey in South Derbyshire. This is number 4 in a series of 5 images celebrating this magnificent tree.

Artist Bio:
I have been a practicing artist for the last 24 years. Before that, I worked as a tyre fitter, a factory worker, a lifeguard and a street cleaner.

As an artist, my perennial subjects are landscape and trees, and I'm interested in traditional drawing, painting and printmaking using a low-tech, hands-on approach. I use analogue equipment rather than computers, and although I own one ready-built etching press, I have also built my own presses in various sizes.
