This painting is a bold and expressive depiction of a roaring tiger, captured mid-roar with its mouth wide open and teeth bared. The composition is dynamic and powerful, conveying the raw energy and presence of the animal.

I have used textured structural gel to make this painting pop, using a palette knife to create the tiger’s fur, giving it a tactile, sculptural quality.  The colour palette I have used is od deep umber, ochres, white, and black, faithfully representing the tiger’s natural markings, while the background is a dark, to give contrast, but scattered with energetic splashes of white, black, and gold paint. I try to add a sense of movement and intensity, as if the roar is vibrating through the atmosphere.

Artist Bio:

I live in the beautiful village of Carsington in Derbyshire.

My work focuses on creating atmospheric and textured landscapes, but I also create large abstract art pieces.

I am inspired by my surroundings and the fauna and flora of my local reservoir.

My abstract pieces are created with instinct and emotion, always focusing on the drama and intrigue a piece can portray.  Each piece is lovingly crafted, taking care to ensure the mood of a piece is captured through the use of harmonious and contrasting colours.
