Popular with climbers and walkers alike, the view from Stanage Edge above Hathersage is a super place to find yourself with camera or sketchbook.  In the Winter time, the low sunlight shines across the front of the rocks, throwing the sky into darkness and casting a golden glow over the dying bracken below, so you don’t even have to climb to the top for artistic inspiriation.

Artist Bio:

Hazel is a painter and art tutor living in Derbyshire, and enjoys capturing the varied local landscapes in acrylics and oils, with many completed on-location. Her paintings explore the subtle changing moods of the seasons, from quiet unassuming landscapes, dramatic sunlit views or forgotten corners off the beaten path. Available for workshops and demonstrations, Hazel also hosts several painting holidays in the UK and abroad.
