Artwork Description:

Title: Ethereal Beauty

The first of my more quirky bubble landscapes, painted using alcohol inks, this artwork is a joyful explosion of colour. I love the dreamy way the bubbles float across the page. Ethereal Beauty has an unworldly, dreamy feel to it. The ebb and flow of the mixing colours, create a sense of movement and depth. This is an altogether calmer abstract than Ecstasy,  its later partner piece. I was in a more reflective mood when I painted this and the colours are more subtle, whilst still retaining the vibrant qualities that alcohol inks bring to a painting. As one of my earliest forays into inks, this is still one of my favourites! Go large if you can. It will be worth it!

Artist Bio:
I paint vibrant and quirky nature-inspired abstracts, uplifting landscapes, effervescent still lifes, as well as, fantasy worlds, planets and waterscapes. I use primarily alcohol-based inks on Yupo or Nara paper, which is waterproof, enabling the inks to move around. Inks are a fluid medium, although I occasionally branch out into some mixed-media artwork. My art captures moments of joy, peace and reflection in the world around me.
