Title: Perfect Peace

This is another artwork painted using alcohol inks, which ebb and flow, blending organically to create a wonderful sense of movement, as well as beautiful vibrant colours. It’s inspired by my love of nature. The violet reminds me of the heathers I see blooming on hills and moorland throughout the summer, and the stunning rich purple hues that often adorn summer walks with my dog. This picture was painted after a late summer, early evening walk in Derbyshire, but the heather on the hills as I sailed towards Ullapool this year, was stunning and this image could just as easily have been based on that. Where does this image take you? Where would you display it in your home? It’s a beautifully reflective, relaxing piece and I love the simple, yet complex composition.

Artist Bio:

I paint vibrant and quirky nature-inspired abstracts, uplifting landscapes, effervescent still lifes, as well as, fantasy worlds, planets and waterscapes. I use primarily alcohol-based inks on Yupo or Nara paper, which is waterproof, enabling the inks to move around. Inks are a fluid medium, although I occasionally branch out into some mixed-media artwork. My art captures moments of joy, peace and reflection in the world around me.
