Artwork Description:

Title: Dolphins

I have spent so much time dolphin-watching over the last few years and their energy and enthusiasm are contagious. We can try to predict their movements, but they go where they will. Their pod is important and they support and look out for one another in a way we humans sometimes forget to do. I like the way they remind me how important supporting one another and enjoying the company of friends and family is, to me and them. I enjoy their uplifting antics, when they choose to put in an appearance and happily come back another day, if they are elsewhere.

These three dolphins reflect the joy that many feel, on observing dolphins leaping from the sea on a sunny day. It also reminds me of the wonderful summer months when I dip in the sea and that joyful feeling of cold water, as it permeates my being and the sun, as it warms my body on leaving the water.

Artist Bio:
I paint vibrant and quirky nature-inspired abstracts, uplifting landscapes, effervescent still lifes, as well as, fantasy worlds, planets and waterscapes. I use primarily alcohol-based inks on Yupo or Nara paper, which is waterproof, enabling the inks to move around. Inks are a fluid medium, although I occasionally branch out into some mixed-media artwork. My art captures moments of joy, peace and reflection in the world around me.
