Artwork Description:

Title: Floral Explosion

This abstract flower was inspired by the wonderful white summer daisies, that bring light to the darkest corners and clothe the fields around me with their joyous, dancing heads.

Painted in alcohol inks on a Yupo paper, the palest lemon background, makes the flower pop. The sense of movement in this piece enhances its appeal, as it almost explodes off the paper. This is a contemporary interpretation of a daisy and one for those who like their art to be flamboyant, bright, and a little quirky.

Wherever you choose to display this, you will inject a splash of colour and fun. It’s sure to get people talking, as individuals can’t always agree on what it represents.

Is it a flower, or do you see something else?

Artist Bio:
I paint vibrant and quirky nature-inspired abstracts, uplifting landscapes, effervescent still lifes, as well as, fantasy worlds, planets and waterscapes. I use primarily alcohol-based inks on Yupo or Nara paper, which is waterproof, enabling the inks to move around. Inks are a fluid medium, although I occasionally branch out into some mixed-media artwork. My art captures moments of joy, peace and reflection in the world around me.
