The receding tide reluctantly loosens its hold on the shore, revealing amber islands of sand. Two distant figures, alone in an empty landscape, gaze out into the vastness where sea meets sky.

Artist Bio:

Many of my paintings are of the landscapes around my home in the Peak District; you may see views you recognise if you've ever walked around the Hartington area. Others are from views that have caught my eye when travelling further afield. There are vignettes of plants growing through walls, and even an occasional flower detail. My studio is open on various days through the year, so if you're passing, drop in!
