Artwork Description:

Title: Mystic mountains

I love the mysterious vibes of this painting. As with most of my work, it’s painted using alcohol inks and sometimes I like to choose a limited palette; Purple and Red in this case. I was feeling very dramatic at the time I painted this and it shows. I often head out at sunset, to watch the sun go down,  as I love those blazing sunsets when the sky simply seems to be ablaze. It often feels as if someone has just thrown a pot of paint at the sky or taken a huge brush and swept it across the firmament!

People see a multitude of different scenes in this piece, some imagining planetary locations. Yet others imagine a scene of supernatural happenings, or ponder the mysteries of the universe.

What do you see? How does this piece make you feel? It’s certainly a stunning piece of art to adorn any space.

Artist Bio:
I paint vibrant and quirky nature-inspired abstracts, uplifting landscapes, effervescent still lifes, as well as, fantasy worlds, planets and waterscapes. I use primarily alcohol-based inks on Yupo or Nara paper, which is waterproof, enabling the inks to move around. Inks are a fluid medium, although I occasionally branch out into some mixed-media artwork. My art captures moments of joy, peace and reflection in the world around me.
