Artwork Description:

Title: Night time Inferno

This is a dramatic, stormy landscape, although lifted by the vibrancy of the autumnal hills and the subtle-blue bodies of water. This piece is inspired by my love of being out of doors, whether walking,  swimming or just being at one with the world. I also love those Autumn/winter drives, as the sun is setting; the beautiful colours painted in the sky as another day draws to a close.

This piece of art was created using alcohol inks. It is painted on waterproof paper to encourage the inks to move around, I used a variety of techniques to ‘help’ the inks mix and move, but adding alcohol or blending solution to the inks gives me more time to work as they dry extremely quickly.

Artist Bio:
I paint vibrant and quirky nature-inspired abstracts, uplifting landscapes, effervescent still lifes, as well as, fantasy worlds, planets and waterscapes. I use primarily alcohol-based inks on Yupo or Nara paper, which is waterproof, enabling the inks to move around. Inks are a fluid medium, although I occasionally branch out into some mixed-media artwork. My art captures moments of joy, peace and reflection in the world around me.
